Panel 3: Two g-d pages into the introduction of this new character and I already botched her key visual trait: namely, that she’s supposed to be perpetually expressionless. That raised eyebrow is, technically, out of character for As Yet Unnamed Kunoichi.

Panel 5: Now, this is a little more like it, with the creepily blank facial expression this character should display. To paraphrase Cap’n Quint’s immortal Jaws line about sharks attacking, she should have “lifeless eyes, like a doll’s eyes… When she comes at ya, she doesn’t seem to be livin.’” 

And yeahp, Ninjette definitely carried out some unsavory work for clan Kaburagi, as we’ll see in more detail in future volumes, such as the Kozue-centric and ninja-riffic Empowered vol. 7.
