Overdialoguing Alert on this page as well, alas. Oops! Really, though, I probably should’ve invested more pagecount on this restless character and her inability to stand still while conversing, rather than cramming all her dialogue into a few pages.

Panel 2: I might’ve been consulting photoreference of gymnasts for this shot, but it did not work out to my satisfaction. That’s likely because I likely drew the initial figure rough with the leather jacket as an integral element from the start, which led to the somewhat discombobulated appearance of the As Yet Unnamed Kunoichi’s upper torso in relation to her legs. Much better, when drawing a clothed figure in a very difficult pose, to initially construct the figure naked, a practice which would’ve prevented this panel’s issues. Then again, when you’re a comics artist pounding out drawings as rapidly as possible, you’ll often have to slap clothing-integral sketches down in a hurry. Still, sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and invest in proper figure construction—and this would definitely be one of those times.

Panel 5: I very clearly used gymnastic photoref on this panel, and it worked out far, far better than panel 2. Not sure, though, whether or not I used proper “naked” figure construction (and then drew the jacket over her) or just got lucky with drawing another clothing-integral pose.
