As I’ve said before, while the metronomic regularity of a grid-based page layout—as in, say, the famous Watchmen 9-panel grid—tends to bore the hell outta me, there’s no better way to cram a whole lotta story beats into a single page, as is the case here. Hey, you’re not all bad, grid-based layout.

Panel 1: Wellp, “six-figure heat” might be a bit of a stretch, but as I noted a few pages back, Mindf**k’s observations are being carried out under extreme stress, so she might be forgiven for less-than-strict accuracy.

Panel 6: Yeahp, even under the aforementioned extreme stress, Mindf**k can’t suppress her compulsive telepathic honesty. Needless to say, the “frying pan/fire” bit will loom large in the pages to come.
