Panel 5: One of my (still-beloved) very favorite panels in the medium of comics is the wordless reaction shot leading into a character’s dialogue. Work those changing facial expressions, folks!

Panel 6: Only now has it occurred to me that Spooky should’ve known that the compulsively honest Mindf**k wouldn’t have been able to hide her theoretical, ah, interest in Emp. Then again, as we’ll see, Spooky can be profoundly irrational in terms of matters of the heart—though, arguably, “rationality” isn’t a particularly relevant term in this context. (Oh, well.)
