I’m not fond of the old-school 2 X 3 6-panel grid, gotta admit, even though my earliest artistic idols, Jack Kirby and John Buscema, used it all the time. The square panels that result from the ol’ 2 X 3 displease me in part because they don’t lend themselves to word-balloon placement, whereas the “taller” panels of a 3 X 2 grid like this page’s definitely do.
