We continue serialization of the collected edition of the six-issue 2018 miniseries Empowered and Sistah Spooky’s High School Hell, written and laid out by me and featuring art and lettering by Guest Artist Carla “Speed” McNeil and coloring by Jenn Manley Lee.

Continuing my exploration of 2017-18 Me's choice to roll with a brawny and ultimately disastrous total of six issues for this miniseries, I should blither on a bit about my experiences with earlier miniseries lengths. Several of my Dirty Pair minis were four issues long, but I had achieved more satisfactory results with five-issue efforts Dangerous Acquaintances, A Plague of Angels and Fatal but not Serious. Honestly, I especially disliked the degree of compression necessary to squeeze the projects Dirty Pair: Sim Hell and Bubblegum Crisis Grand Mal into four dense, frantic issues, which both featured (necessarily) rushed finales that bugged me considerably afterward.
