We continue serialization of the collected edition of the six-issue 2018 miniseries Empowered and Sistah Spooky’s High School Hell, written and laid out by me and featuring art and lettering by Guest Artist Carla “Speed” McNeil and coloring by Jenn Manley Lee.

While this scene's biology lab setting closely resembles the "Biology 1" classroom I attended back in early-80s high school, in an odd twist the reference images I sent to Carla were scanned from a similarly shadowy, moody & spooky scene from an early volume of Naoki Urasawa's manga 20th Century Boys. Strange but true, folks!
