We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Panel 1: Ehh, "Las Alas del Amor" wasn't quite hitting my goal of "using as many English cognates as possible in this story's Spanish," but I thought the caption featuring the "Wings of Love" song title made things fairly clear; as you'll see shortly, however, I arguably pushed things a bit too far with the next page's Spanish.

Panel 3: By peculiar if not disturbing coincidence, "Love is in the Air" happened to play in a frickin' Target ad while I was working on these commentaries.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
