UPDATE: Whoops, when I was formatting and scheduling this webcomic page, I forgot to mention that the long-awaited Empowered vol.12 is finally out today! If you've read the book, feel free to weigh in on the experience here in a non-SPOILER-y fashion!

We continue serialization of 2013's one-shot Empowered: Nine Beers with Ninjette (as collected in the anthology volume Empowered Unchained), featuring sweet B&W art by Guest Artist Takeshi Miyazawa and lettering by Susie Lee.

Panel 1: Emp's "JBF" hairstyle is a reference to a story from early on in Empowered vol. 1, but dang if I have the time or energy early this Sunday morning to track down that chapter and add a hyperlink. Gotta knock these commentaries out fast, dear readers, as my worktime is limited at best nowadays.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained.
