We continue serialization of 2013's one-shot Empowered: Nine Beers with Ninjette (as collected in the anthology volume Empowered Unchained), featuring sweet B&W art by Guest Artist Takeshi Miyazawa and lettering by Susie Lee.

Yesterday I was talking about how the large font size I asked letterer Susie to use wound up biting me in the butt, as seen in panel 1's rather oversized text; note that the deliberately smaller font size used for Young Ninjette's "whisper balloons" throughout the rest of the page is still quite readable. Some font size between these two extremes would've worked best, I realize in retrospect. (Oh, well, once again.)
