Panel 1: I rather like Emp’s non-superheroic outfit, though its apparent degree of midriff exposure seems a bit out of sartorial character for someone with her body-image issues. Kinda cute, though, especially since I rarely draw her out of the supersuit. For the record, I really don’t have a big issue with drawing Emp in civilian garb as such. I would, however, have a major issue with drawing civilian Emp in civilian settings, as I intensely dislike drawing contemporary urban environments.

Panel 2: I am deeply pained to admit that, in all likelihood, the Caged Demonwolf would almost certainly be a fan of the New England Patriots, not a detractor, given their present-day status as The Scheming Supervillains of the National Football League. (This story predates the scandal of ’07’s Spygate, let alone the more recent—and far more ludicrous—debacle of “Deflategate.”) Oh, well. As a native New Englander and a Pats fan, though, all I can say is, “Go piss up a tree, haters.”
