Amusing scene, but Emp’s decision to store the Caged Demonwolf in her closet seems an ill-considered one on both her part and, more importantly, my part as her writer. Oh, well.

Gotta love Emp’s wildly flowing locks in panel 3, especially since her hair appears at least half a foot longer than normal in this shot. (Artistic license, ahoy!) Not so fond of Emp’s rather wonky torso, which is an unfortunate example of the Mysteriously Intermittent Millennial Torso Glitch that randomly plagued my work during this time period. I’ll generously cut myself a wee bit of slack for less-than-prefect figure drawing, though, given how rapidly I was plowing through these early Empowered pages back then. In said loosey-goosey, laissez-faire days of yore, I was writing and drawing two or three pages a day, thanks to the loose art style and lack of backgrounds. Nowadays, I count myself lucky to get even a single page written and drawn during a (usually lengthy) workday.
