Yesterday's vol. 10 back-cover illo was colored by the great Rob "Robaato" Porter, for whom I worked up an Empowered Guest Artist project that, alas, came to naught due to scheduling issues. (Oh, well.)

Today's vol. 11 front-cover illo was colored by the great Arist Deyn, for whom I also worked up an Empowered Guest Artist project that, alas, came to naught due to scheduling issues. (Oh, well.)

TBH, after their respective potential projects went belly-up, I canned the idea of bothering with any more Emp Guest Artist pitches; nor did I do any writing-only work beyond the 2019 Venom: The End one-shot, which was already well underway at that point in time.

I do need to look into pitching s'more writing-only gigs, though, as the severe limitations of depending solely on myself as an artist have become increasingly clear to me. This prospect is complicated a tad by the fact that I've not seen any other comics folk in person at any point in the last four years, and am almost completely out of contact via online means as well. ("Sigh," to quote Emp.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, work-in-progress updates on developmental projects such as fantasy comics The Chaste and the Chained and The Last Party, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
