Panels 1-2: Most lines of the Caged Demonwolf’s dialogue normally require careful crafting and multiple drafts. However, these two lines did not. “Be not ashamed, ninja wench! Shame is for unattractive people!” This Demonwolfish aphorism popped into my head so vividly and fully formed that I felt as if the Blazing-Eyed Devilgoat were addressing me directly. An eerie sensation, I gotta say!

Note also in panel 2 that Ninjette flees buck naked out the apartment window. (Or would that be doe naked, for proper figurative deer-based phrasing?) However, note that on the previous page’s panel 4, we can just barely see elements of her regular ninja outfit resting on the arm of the sofa, as discarded 30 pages ago when she transformed into Ersatz Emp. 

So, presumably, she snatched up her costume before escaping the embarrassing scene. Whew!

And that’s it for the story “Much Flaunted,” folks. However, one Empowered vol. 2 chapter remains to this ill-fated evening’s events, in which we learn some exciting new facts about , ah, unusual uses for Emp’s supersuit. Next time around, brace yourselves for a dose of “Amorous Audacity!”
