Panel 1: Remarkably easy to botch numbers like those seen on the g-d clock face, here. Bad font choice, in that it was maddeningly difficult to emulate by hand.

Panel 2: Yes, as you may have guessed by now, this supervillain does indeed kinda-sorta “use time for evil”—but, luckily for everyone, he lacks actual, unearthly “chronopowers,” and instead takes a more literalistic approach to “time crimes.” (And no, I’m not referring to the 2007 movie Timecrimes, either.)

Panel 3: Nice shot of Alarmed Emp, here. Have occasionally thought about returning to the very different approach to rendering the bridge of Emp’s nose under her mask, as seen here; this is quite at odds with the way I handle things currently. Ah, but this means I might have to acknowledge that Emp theoretically has anything approaching a conventional nasal structure, which in fact she does not—instead, she has the odd, hyperstylized, muzzle-like face characteristic of manga-influenced character design. Oh, well.
