Panel 2: I actually rather like this mecha’s design, but am intensely displeased by its feet-together, annoyingly undramatic pose. Pretty sure I drew that stance to make sure the mecha’s feet stayed clear of the page’s bottom border, but I now consider that a strikingly bad choice.

Also, note the presence of Thugboy’s strapping .50 M82 anti-materiel rifle, which eventually met its demise two years later in an unseen battle with Deathmonger in Empowered vol. 1.
