Panel 1: Quite like this panel, though in retrospect it seems unlikely that any young man who spends as much time working out as Thugboy would be wearing such a baggy, billowing T-shirt. (Even the baggy pants would’ve been drifting outta style circa 2007.) Interesting to consider that this is one of the very few times we see Thugboy actually carrying out the lethal work that he used to do on a regular basis, as tangentially mentioned earlier.

Also, as I’ve noted before, BKAM was my late friend Toren Smith’s sound FX invention for the English translation of Kenichi Sonoda’s manga Gunsmith Cats. For some ineffable reason, I just like it more than the conventional BLAM; that middle K adds a slight note of complexity that I quite appreciate.

Panels 3-4: Thugboy’s seamless transition between casually addressing ’Jette and then just as casually headshooting a fallen shinobi still cracks me up a fair bit. The big question is, though, does he wind up shooting that decapitated fella’s head? With ninja, you can never be too careful, right?
