Another Empowered page consisting entirely of close-up shots, but notably less effective than the previous, also “all-close-up” page. Pulling the camera back during panel 1 (and/or panel 5) for a medium shot of Ninjette and ’Wolf would’ve been a better idea. 

I don’t care for the fairly wonky Ninjette close-ups in panels 2 and 3, but the one in panel 7 worked out really well, IMHO. I appreciate Decade-Ago Me trying something a bit different with panel 3, but the slightly unusual approach to Kozue’s character design didn’t really pay off. 

Panel 6: I wouldn’t necessarily sound the Overdialoguing Alarm for this page as a whole, but this panel would’ve been better served by cutting the Demonwolf’s second word balloon. Note that panels 6 and 7 read just as well with that balloon removed, though I might miss its line about Emp throwing Thugboy “the p-whip,” which is of course a rather whimsical reference to a key moment from the opening action scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark. (Featuring a young Alfred Molina, by the way!)
