Panel 1: Love the way that Guru eFX handled all the many, many “glow effects” in this panel. Then again, I have an undeniably inordinate love of glows and auras and “glitter FX” and other such ostentatious if not obnoxious feats of Photoshoppery; much as J.J. Abrams loves his lens flares, I do adore a good glow effect.

Panel 5: Note that a high percentage of my notably limited array of favorite sound FX appear on this Empowered page. I especially love the metallic KPWINGG, but thanks to its peculiar specificity, this particular sound FX tends to only appear in scenes of, say, swordplay or clanging mecha.
