Panel 1: For the most part, I normally use double hyphens—which I’ll always think of incorrectly as “double dashes”—for broken-up sentences like this, but I occasionally go “punctuation-free” for moments of high drama such as this. (Such as a key moment during the finale of the next volume, but let’s stay SPOILER-free, shall we?) Such moments automatically get flagged by publishers' proofreaders, of course, but I always override 'em in cases like this.

Panel 5: I’m not entirely fond of how Emp’s rant wraps up, here, but alternatives aren’t springing readily to mind. Maybe taking on a cussword afterward might’ve worked better, but I dunno about that.
