Panel 3: As we’ll see on the next page, that little “burst mark” after Fleshmaster’s “KHH…” indicates that he’s passed out, not died, as that burst mark is sometimes used to indicate.

Interestingly enough, this shot’s “hero in background, bad guy in extreme foreground” layout reminds me of a very specific panel from 1997’s (long out of print) Gen 13: Grunge! the Movie, which seems to be the first time I used the composition. Not sure why that particular shot always springs to mind, but it certainly does. (I was going to scan that panel for your perusal, but I couldn't dig up a copy in time.)
