Panel 2: Note the ultra-rare appearance of a so-called “wavy” word balloon—indicating that Ninjette’s speech sounds weak and groggy—that also sports the broken outline of a “whisper” balloon. A wavy, whispery word balloon, folks! 

Panel 5: Another example of the random visual riff of Emp’s hair temporarily appearing extraordinarily long, a stylistic flourish that I occasionally deploy A) for emphasis of motion; B) to hide an Emp problem area I don’t care to draw; C) just because I felt like it. Not sure which rationale applies in this case, must admit.
