Panel 1: Oof! Emp's figure proportions got way the heck away from me in this shot, though for once the main screw-up was a wildly elongated neck. (Her upper torso's a little long, but that's less of an issue.) Oh, well; can't win 'em all, I'm afraid, especially when we're talking about decade-old material.

Also, gotta admit that my depiction of the ruffles on Maidman’s outfits is based solely on my own vague idea of what they should look like, a visualization that really doesn’t work from certain oblique angles. (This is yet another hazard of drawing solely “off the top of the dome,” as you were.) Given that cosplay of Maidman has been done at least a half-dozen times that I’m aware of, it only recently occurred to me that I should try to reference those treacherous ruffles from actual photos of maid outfits. Life drawing ahoy!

And thus ends “Of Maids and Wet Blankets,” folks. Next, we start up the short but (I hope) fairly intense story “My Definition of Team-Up,” in which an earlier passing reference from “Of Maids” is addressed in detail.
