Comically Picayune Nitpickery Alert: Note that, in panel 4, I forgot the wee little hole in the shuriken on the back of Ninjette's hand, which you can just make out in panel 5.  (Supposedly that hole exists so that shuriken of this type could be strung together for carrying convenience, or so I've read.)

Holy crap! Belatedly realized that this five-panel page is a callback of sorts to an earlier five-panel page from Empowered vol. 1. In that previous story, Ninjette was seen coolly leaping through the forest with a flailing, out-of-control Emp following her with great difficulty; now, the tables are turned and 'Jette finds herself struggling to keep up with a happily hurtling Emp. Things have changed, folks!
