Panel 1: You might recall Tommy Tokamak being referenced five pages back, in the last panel of p.104.

The term “tokamak,” for the uninitiated, is a transliteration of the Russian-language acronym that refers to “a toroidal apparatus for producing controlled fusion reactions in hot plasma,” in theory at least. Ol' Tommy, here, doesn’t look especially toroidal, but presumably the “Tokamak” in his supranym is more figurative than literal.
