Panel 3: Yeah, the “lit from within” visual riff on Phallik’s burnt skull doesn’t really make much strictly realistic sense, but dang if it doesn’t look nifty, though! “Rule of Cool” and all that, I guess. (Then again, we are talking about effectively magical undead beings, so perhaps “strict realism” is a tad irrelevant.)

Panel 4: Just as he did about 70-odd pages ago (which, for some g-d reason, today's commentary formatting will not allow me to link to), poor Phallik is indeed blurting Sistah Spooky’s real name for some currently unclear reason. Not a big SPOILER to tell you that the cause of this peculiar behavior will be revealed at some point in this volume’s overall narrative.
