Panel 2: Racquetball was all the rage in the mid- to late-80s when I was in the Kubert School—the enclosed courts were springing up in gyms everywhere, back then—and I had a good three-year run of playing the sport on a regular basis. (The magical racquet used by Magical Drama Queen Roxy in the Gen13 miniseries was, in fact, referenced from my old Spalding, as are the ones in this scene.) I rather doubt that racquetball courts were anywhere near as common in 2009, but ehh, screw it.

Panel 3: Yeahp, Ninjette’s hensojutsu ninja disquise skills cover more than just granting herself Emp-sized fake bewbs. 

Panel 6: Enjoy this view of the rarely seen room at the back of Emp's apartment, folks, where her (CRT-equipped!) PC presumably lurks. Also, enjoy the large-headed, cartoony figure proportions I used for this shot, as those dynamics begin shifting noticeably after this volume—though we’re not gonna see serious, consistent proportion differences until vol.8 or so.
