Panel 1: That close-up of Phallik worked out remarkably well, gotta say. Don’t think I would’ve used reference of any sort, as the image is so strongly stylized—the eyesockets and nasal cavities almost seem lit from within, a technically “unrealistic” flourish done to add visual clarity to such a blackened head. (Though, in theory, we could be seeing light streaming in through Phallik’s emptied braincase, but that’s not really what the rendering looks like,)

Panel 2: I quite like the dynamism of the nurses running towards the camera, with Dude ÜberNurse in the extreme foreground at right definitely adding some energy to the shot.
