I should note that I bought a very detailed model of a human skull as reference for this volume, then got rid of it once the book was over.  This turned out to be an extremely shortsighted decision, as I wound up having to draw many, many more skulls in the years that followed, and could absolutely have used that g-d model on said subsequent occasions.  Oh, well.
