This is one of only several Empowered pages that’s been taped on my drawing table off and on for years at a time, as it’s the master shot for this particular set of characters, whose designs have thus stayed reasonably consistent over the last decade or so—except, oddly, for the stretchy fellow at top, whose helmet design shifts a bit before long. (In fact, looking ahead, it changes visibly within this very story. Whoops!)
