Hope readers enjoy learning a while bunch of superheroes’ noms de guerres right off the bat, for once!

Panels 2 & 3: I’m certain that, someday down the road, I will regret using those specific birth years for these two characters. Oh, well. (Then again, this is only a concern if Empowered rolls on for another decade or more.)

Panels 8 & 9: Looking closely at panel 9, you can tell that I didn’t take the intelligent and time-saving approach to this panel—namely, just scribbling the word balloons in panel 9, then pasting them in over a copy of panel 8. Rather, judging by the slight differences in the artwork, I clearly redrew panel 8’s characters and background in panel 9, which is a much slower (and dumber) approach. Yay, pointless inefficiency!
