Panel 4: While feet in general are tough to draw, gotta say that toes are especially tough to draw well. Even if depicted accurately, “toesies” can look goofy and/or wonky AF. And speaking as an artist, “accurate” depiction of anatomy as such isn’t the point; rather, you’re looking—or I’m looking—for a drawing that’s effective and/or appealing, or at least not unintentionally jarring to the eye.

Panel 5: Even though this scene is entirely dialogue-based, stuffing three big word balloons into a single panel definitely deserves a sounding of the ol’ Overdialoguing Alert. I really wish I’d expanded this sequence by a few pages so I could’ve dispersed the Demonwolf’s soliloquy over more pages to avoid “text pile-ups” like the one in this panel. 

Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned damsel-in-distress content, along the lines of the same material was eventually reworked into Empowered. (No idea what as to exactly that might be at this time, though; these commentaries are written much further out from posting than are my often last-minute Patreon updates.)
