Panel 2: Cue the wholly cryptic but narratively useful "sound of metal" heard whenever an anime wants to indicate a sword is being flourished, despite its conspicuous lack of any loose steel to rattle. (Then again a similar "mysterious KCHAK" always sounds for emphasis when a pistol is being pointed threateningly at someone, even with no manual safety to switch off or hammer to thumb back.)
Panel 3: I like the idea that F**king Oyuki-chan was holding onto that severed hand all this time just to eventually set up this joke.
Panel 5: TBH, Ninjette probably should've delivered this line entirely in Japanese, but I liked the clarity of the English version.
Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned damsel-in-distress content, along the lines of the same material was eventually reworked into Empowered. (No idea as to exactly what that might be at this time, though; these commentaries are written much further out from posting than are my often last-minute Patreon updates.)
