And yeahp, after the previous page’s over-the-top Emp triumphalism over her supersuit restoring itself, we immediately Gilligan cut to the poor girl getting suit-ripped and trussed up again, presumably with the sad trombone sounding as extra emphasis. Needless to say, this oh-so-whimsical joke would’ve worked a tad better without the weekend-long gap in webcomic posting.

TBH, I have no idea what Empowered would’ve been like as a native-to-the-format webcomic created and posted on a daily basis; nor am I ever going to find out, as this webcomic is a very, very far from cost-effective endeavor on my part, meaning that I have no interest in starting up something new in this format. (That said, some form of online posting formatted for larger doses of content at a time is entirely possible.)

Panel 3: Lollipop Figure Proportions Alert! (Also, Big Pouty Lips alert, though I switched over to thin-lipped Emp in the next panel, because no one can stop me from electing to trot out random stylistic flourishes, folks.) That “ancient artsy idol thingie” being stolen by the GG fellas is, I assume, some real-life artifact, but I’ll be dipped if I can recall where the hell I referenced that from.
