Extremely narrow shoulders on that cartoonishly big-headed Emp, gotta say. Starting with a key panel in the upcoming Empowered vol. 8, we begin the long artistic journey in a very different direction of character design.
Ninjette is right about the end pages, which—along with the front & back cover illos and opening title spread—are done long before the rest of the volume's interior story pages are finished—or even started, in a few extreme cases. (This is a Dark Horse production scheduling issue.)
Next Monday, we more or less literally close the book on Empowered vol. 7 as I post the book's back cover, complete with a well-received image of Emp cosplaying another character.
Today’s Patreon update: Probably another dose of Vintage
Con Sketches, from the late-90s/early-2000s era when I was cranking out
a ton of ’em.
