Panel 3: Famous(?) last words—"Huh?"
Panel 4: High contrast ahoy! Went all-Sharpie on this panel, as I am wont to do on occasion. And fer chrissakes, don't gimme the oft-repeated observation "Looks like Frank Miller's Sin City!", as I've been doing chiaroscuro-heavy riffs like this since g-d high school; in fact, the art portfolio I prepared for the Joe Kubert School has a few such pieces. In further fact, I was inspired in such efforts as a yute by the same source material that apparently influenced Miller's neo-noir approach—namely, the Jim Steranko illustrated novel Chandler: Red Tide.
Today’s Patreon Update: As this is a Monday, time for our weekly double dose of life drawings from 2017 (when I was cranking out photoreferenced sketch sets on a nearly daily basis) along with the high-res Photoshop raw scans for both of ‘em, available to all Patron tiers.
