The Vorpal Sword, folks! (Named only indirectly from Lewis Carroll's poem "Jabberwocky," as of course I was actually making yet another g-d AD&D reference.)

Note that the sword-shaped drone is based on a 3D Sketchup model created by my buddy Ryan Kinnaird. I could theoretically have hand-drawn the dang thing, but wanted to save myself a bit of stress by having a CG model that I could rotate and scale as necessary, then print out and lightboard-trace onto the original page before rendering it in finished pencil. This process is time-consuming enough that it doesn't really save me all that much worktime, but does save me a good deal of the teeth-grinding, frustration, and repeated draft sketches inherent to drawing a complicated object in varying perspectives.

Come to think of it, sometime I'll have to post my design sketches and a few "raw jpegs" of the Vorpal Sword's model for a future Design Tuesday feature on the ol' Patreon. Speaking of which:

Today’s Patreon update: Open slot in the weekly schedule today! Not sure what I’ll be posting, but something will go up today. I’ve been posting almost every weekday (sometimes multiple times per day) on this Patreon for the last few years, so why stop now?
