TBH, Mindf**k very likely would've changed outta that spacesuit for a nice picnic, but I erred on the side of easiest character recognition, rather than working up an alternate outfit as I probably should have.
Then again, must admit that when I read nitpickers quibbling about matters like this—and I must include Present-Day or Future Me among said nitpickers!—I reflexively find myself thinking, "Well, then, why don't you draw this g-d comic, oh Good Sir Nitpicker? Lord knows most of the time I don't particularly want to be drawing the g-d thing; perhaps a detail-oriented quibbler like yourself could devote the necessary time to avoid these damning flaws."
(As I'll address in future commentaries during this climactic act of the volume, drawing comics is a peculiarly fraught exercise for both Past Me and Present Me.)
Today’s Patreon Update: As I've done the last few months, I'm taking off the third week of July
from putting up new Patreon content, as I just can't keep up an every-weekday
posting schedule while struggling to make progress on Empowered
vol.12. (In the near future, I'll probably switch to an every-week
schedule of Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posts, which would avoid
these week-long breaks.)
However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
