Drawing-hand pain update: Wellp, looks like I now have a permanent pain issue in my drawing hand's index fingertip as, almost a month after the matter first arose, the pressure sensitivity just won't go away. Howeva, the good news is that the pain level's dropped off to an acceptably mild level; during the first week or so, any pressure on the fingertip felt like a g-d electric shock. I can definitely work through what relatively minor degree of pain remains, as long as the issue doesn't revert to its earlier, far more more painful manifestation.

I've long assumed that someday that at least a few of my manifold chronic but transient drawing-hand pains would no longer be conveniently transitory; well, lo and behold, that day has come. Ouch!
