As you can see from both this page, I am perhaps inordinately fond of tacking Fs onto my bolder sound FX. Can't quite say why, but the inscrutable algorithm in my head that determines SFX acceptability definitely appreciates that ol' "prefix F."

I'd hoped to discuss in detail how cranking out this climactic Empowered vol. 8 story was one of the most important experiences in my decades-long career—or "career," perhaps—in comics,  the truth is that I'm half-awake and low on ambition when I crank out a week's worth of webcomic commentaries first thing on Saturday or Sunday morning as I roll outta bed and get my caffeine on. Wellp, still got 30-odd pages to go in this book, so maybe I'll have the energy to tackle the topic in one of the volume's six remaining weekends. (Maybe.)

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
