The issue of the series' ending arises in part because of the text that always appears in the second Meta Emp page that closes out each volume—that is, the apparently confusing text for "The End" appearing at the top of the page. That's supposed to indicate the end of Empowered vol. 8 in particular, not the overall series as a whole, as a dismaying number of readers seem to assume every g-d time. (This time around, the Empowered logo mistakenly appearing above "The End" isn't helping matters much.)

Yeahp, I inevitably hear on social media months or years later, "Gee, I thought the series was over!" Jeez, folks, I'll be sure to let you know when the longest-running project of my entire g-d career is wrapping up, okay? This is why I finally took the obvious and helpful step of adding the James-Bondian tag "Empowered will return" on this closing Meta Emp page; alas, I only did so as of Empowered vol. 11. Whoops!

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
