Panel 1: Can't swear to it as my memory of writing this sequence has faded considerably, but the "Justice never sleeps" bit quoted by Spooky might've been either A) the motto of the late Purple Paladin or B) the motto of the hitherto unseen but goofily surpranymed superhero "InsomniAxe."

Panel 2: Gotta say, the terms "ALIEN AUGURY" and "DREAMTAPPING" do seem interesting and evocative; alas, we never see either of these presumably esoteric techniques being used.
