Note that, for a 2013 Scarlet Witch/ Domino crossover story I wrote and drew for Marvel (done shortly after I finished up work on Empowered vol. 8), I attempted to imitate Jack Kirby's brand of Meaningless High-Techy Background Detail for a Celestial-based environment, only to discover that our hyperstylized artistic flourishes along these lines are very, very different. After struggling to replicate his High-Techy BG Riffs for a few pages, I wound up reverting to my own familiar BG riffs with a few Kirbyisms scattered among 'em.
