Panel 2: Gotta say, that g-d white line extending across Mindf**k's visor thingie is really, really easy to screw up.

Panels 3-4: The "wordless close-up before a key line of dialogue" bit is a storytelling riff that I've come to appreciate keenly, after borrowing it from Tetsuro Ueyama's (sadly untranslated) Solevision Mitsuyoshi; note that many, many other manga have featured this particular narrative approach, but Mitsuyoshi represented the first time I actually noticed the riff and decided to appropriate it for my own use.

And lo, after 89 pages of stage-setting and varied riffing on Hell-related topics, Empowered vol. 8's opening, anthology-format story "Oh, Hell Yeah" wraps up at last. Tomorrow, the book's long-brewing main event finally kicks off, as we commence serialization of the long, action-packed, tearjerkery-intensive epic that takes up the rest of the volume.
