Panels 2 & 3: I do rather like the contrast between the "frowny" expression of Faux Spooky's mask in panel 2 and the more plaintive expression of her mask in panel 3.

Panel 5: As I'd eventually figure out over the next 100-odd pages, Spooky's black-intensive costume was hard AF on my poor drawing hand as I had to draw it over and over; note that I came to a similiar realization during the Ninjette-intensive Empowered vol. 7. In later years, I'd switch over to rendering much of Spooky's outfit via Sharpie instead of pencil to save my hand a wee bit o' wear 'n' tear. 

Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned “damsel-in-distress” content, along the lines of the same material that was eventually reworked into Empowered.
