Panel 2: That's a notably more rounded face than I normally draw on Emp nowadays, but I gotta say that this particular drawing worked out quite well.

And thus ends the deleted scene from Empowered vol. 9, removed mainly because I desperately needed the pagecount for the climactic finale of the next chapter, but also because I thought it was a tad distracting. Still, a pretty cute scene, overall.

OTOH, the character-breaking moments in the previous few weeks of bedroom roleplay were admittedly rather a load of hooey, as I'm pretty sure that Emp & Thugboy would have their fantasy routines figured out well enough that questions about panty-tearing or dialogue patterns wouldn't have arisen. I included those character-breaking moments strictly because, well, I thought that would be funny.

Tomorrow, we return to regular continuity for the final page of the book's middle chapter, "Power Stripped." However, best brace yourselves, webcomic readers, as the story's final page is gonna be a (deliberately) jarring transition from today's warm & cuddly bedroom scene.
