Look, small but annoyingly persistent fraction of webcomic commenters: You can see everyone's feet in this shot! (Well, except for Emp.) Happy now?
Gotta say, I periodically Shake My Damn Head when commenters trot out the lazy, hackneyed, oft-repeated and regurgitated snark about comic artists' supposed avoidance of drawing feet—or, more relevantly, this particular comic artist avoiding the drawing of feet. That's not the case, small but annoyingly persistent fraction of commenters; in fact, given the Excessively Petite Feet Alert often sounded in these commentaries, there are many contexts in which I arguably would've been better served by not drawing Emp's feet.
More on this matter shortly, as an upcoming page can be used to point out the rather obvious compositional issue underlying comic artists' supposed avoidance of drawing feet.
Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to
complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over
to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the
fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post
might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels
content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or
something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design
departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
