Panel 5: Time for a rare case of sounding the Excessively Petite Feet Alert on someone other than Emp, as the booted foot looks a tad shorter than it probably should; then again, said foot being truncated by the edge of the panel isn't helping matters.

In any case, better to be safe than sorry on sounding the ol' Excessively Petite Feet Alert, as seemingly every g-d time I neglect to do so, one particular webcomic commenter whose handle escapes me weighs in with the same g-d snarky complaint about Petite Emp Feet looking like the product of Chinese foot binding. (As opposed, of course, to the absolute commitment to strict anatomical realism used in depicting the rest of Emp's body and face.) I heard ya the first dozen times, snarky commenter; perhaps you could travel back in time and alert 2014 Me about the issue?

Yeahp, after my 2017 binge of near-daily life drawing, as a tangential issue the way I draw feet shifted to a sliiiightly more realistic approach—or, at least, just realistic enough to no longer require sounding of the Excessively Petite Feet Alert.

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
