Panel 2: Wellp, at least I managed to get through this scene without accidentally switching Spooky's remaining arm from left to right (knock on wood), which is a perhaps surprisingly easy artistic error to make in the course of grinding one's way through speedily cranked-out comic pages.

One example of this is the cast on Kei's broken leg from the 1995 miniseries Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious, which accidentally switched sides sporadically during the narrative. (Hell, Pepe Moreno made the same error with a character's prosthetic arm several times during the post-apocalyptic comic Generation Zero serialized in Marvel's Epic magazine lo these many years ago in my youth, so I'm in good company.) However, I was none too g-d pleased when, without consulting me, the miniseries' theoretically well-meaning editor decided to fix said error by commissioning the issue's inker to draw a g-d art patch for Kei's leg each time; I found the slightly off-model artwork for her leg's cast far more obtrusive to my ruthlessly discerning artist's eye than having the g-d thing switching sides.

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
