Panel 3: Rokk Kandee's masked(?) face looks oddly reminiscent of the mask worn by the telekinetic killer in the 1979 horror flick Tourist Trap, a film I'm aware of but never actually saw. (The resemblance is strictly a coincidence, as far as I can recall.)

Panel 4: Good thing that Kandee came along to handle the transport Emp back through the portal, as Flamethrowa's fiery "hands" would be ill-suited indeed for handling detainees, even if protected(?) by the restraint membrane.
